There are two official game formats: Standard and Wild. Other game formats present themselves in tournaments, such as 'Sealed Deck' or 'Pauper'. Standard format only allows using cards from the last two years, as well as from the Basic and Classic sets, whereas Wild format allows players to use cards from any card set.
Cards which are not currently valid in Standard format are termed Wild cards. However, it should be noted that a "Wild format deck" can include Standard cards as well. The symbol for Wild format is an infinity symbol formed from thorny vines.
From the collection browser (NOT from a deck!!), go to Crafting mode, then hit the expansion button on the lower left of the screen and select either “All Cards”, or one of the wild sets. Then, craft at least one wild card.

Hearthstone, Blizzard's entry into the CCG genre, isn't dead. It still earns a fair amount of money, it's still played by quite a few people, and it still has some presence on streaming and video platforms.
In some cases, maybe, but in general, no. There are multiple things protecting Hearthstone from being pay-to-win. Hearthstone games are won mostly through player skill. Not only during play but in the deck-building as well.
Four Magic sets are released (one approximately every three months) and added to Standard each year, and subsequently the four oldest sets in Standard rotate out along with the release of the Fall set on September. No sets will rotate with the release of Core Set 2021 on June, 25, 2020.
Standard rotation is, quite literally, the rotation of cards in and out of Standard play. When it comes to the schedule, it's pretty straightforward: every fall, WotC rotates out the current sets of cards that can be used in Standard and replaces them with a handful of new sets.
It's a very safe craft. Zilliax has never not been good. He's going to have a home in multiple decks until he's rotated out. Zilliax will never be bad unless he gets nerfed which is doubtful.
as for how many cards there are that are truely unique it's anyones guess. As I am writing this 21799 cards have been released for the western market in english. Several of those however are older cards re-printed in later sets (same rarity) but also includes the same card but in different rarities.
Buying the adventure bundle with real money costs the same as buying a bundle of 15 card packs. Because a card pack is worth roughly 100 dust, this means that from a dust perspective, buying Galakrond's Awakening is more effective than buying card packs even with gold, and much more so with real money.
Access to a single Arena run (drafting a deck and playing until it reaches the win or loss limit) requires a purchase of an Arena Ticket which costs either 150 gold or real-world money of $1.99 (€1.99 or ₤1.99).
