When did the movie Paul come out?
Despite losing, the Greeks killed around 20,000 Persians. In contrast, the Greeks lost just 4,000 men, according to estimates made by Herodotus.
There really was a battle there between Greeks (including 300 Spartans) and soldiers from the Persian Empire. Yup, that's about it for historical accuracy. What Frank Miller did in the graphic novel 300, which was reproduced almost scene by scene in the movie, is show a fear of the cultures of the East.
Good question, the movie 300 is based on the Battle of Thermopylae, holding off nearly 100,000 to 150, 000 Persians. The movie is about that victory of a few brave men holding their ground against a larger adversary. Yes, it's a true story. But, the Spartans weren't something depicted as in the movie 300.
The defeat by Thebes in the Battle of Leuctra in 371 BC ended Sparta's prominent role, though it maintained its political independence until the Roman conquest of Greece in 146 BC. It then underwent a long period of decline, especially in the Middle Ages, when many Spartans moved to Mystras.
Legion Sequel is Being Considered. Back in January, director Scott Stewart's "Legion" movie, starring Paul Bettany, has been released in theaters. It went on to gross $67 million in worldwide ticket sales on a $26 million budget. Stay tuned to see if Screen Gems actually moves forward with a second installment.
The second part, titled, '300: The Rise of The Empire' was released in 2014, and it serves both as a prequel and a sequel to the first film. The film is roughly based on another graphic novel by Miller, titled, 'Xerxes: The Fall of the House of Darius and the Rise of Alexander', that only got published in 2018.
In the case of After, the movie keeps many of the most important scenes from the book in order to develop the romantic storyline of Tessa Young (Josephine Langford) and Hardin Scott (Hero Fiennes-Tiffin). After even adapts, albeit loosely, the storyline of Hardin and Tessa moving in together.
The 300 Spartans is a 1962 CinemaScope epic film depicting the Battle of Thermopylae. Made with the cooperation of the Greek government, it was shot in the village of Perachora in the Peloponnese.

The Winchester, the cozily shaggy pub filled with “rich, interesting characters” is the site of Shaun's stasis and his redemption in Shaun Of The Dead. Shaun (Simon Pegg) sits in a ratty leather chair, tearfully confiding over a pint with Nick Frost's Ed.

Simon Pegg has a treatment for Shaun of the Dead 2, complete with vampires. It might not be the biggest movie he's been involved with, but Shaun of the Dead is almost certainly Simon Pegg's most beloved film. Well, there are actually plans for a sequel just sitting around somewhere in one of Pegg's notebooks.
