The time for a SIM card's activation can vary massively, depending on what the reason for the change is – most activations take between 15 minutes and four hours. You can use an ALDImobile SIM card in any handset so long as it is compatible with the 3G 850MHz frequency. If you have a 4G handset, please make sure that your phone is compatible with ALDImobile's 3G frequency as voice over LTE (VoLTE) is not supported and calls will be made through 3G.
Telstra Wi-Fi Calling is only available to Telstra or Boost mobile customers. Whilst the toggle switch will display on your phone it'll do nothing to the settings as Aldi Mobile doesn't support it. Aldi also doesn't support VoLTE so all your calls will go via the 3G network.
Re: Aldi Sim cardsThe device is locked to Telstra and works on an actual Telstra SIM. But, you should be able to get it unlocked by Telstra. It might cost you some $$$ depending on how long you have had the device.
