The Big Three were a trio of professional basketball players – LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh – who played for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA) from 2010 to 2014.
Shaq O'Neal was traded last night from the Pheonix Suns to the Cleveland Cavaliers and will join LeBron James, the NBA's best player. Now, the duo and a strong supporting cast, will attempt a run to make the NBA Finals and possibly even win a Championship to really "King" James.

The Big Three is a common term to refer to the most prominent, profitable, noteworthy or controversial entities in a given sphere or industry.
The 2020 season of Ice Cube's Big3 basketball league has been canceled amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The league is looking to resume during the summer of 2021, but co-founder Jeff Kwatinetz admits to being "frustrated and disappointed that we can't see Big3 played this year."
Big3 players can make at least $100,000 per season and coaches said the league provides them an NBA-type lifestyle in travel and accommodations. “You can't go down from what the NBA was,” former Seattle SuperSonics star and Big3 coach Gary Payton said.
Currently, the BIG3 hasn't mentioned any changes to the pay structure. Participants of the league earn roughly $10,000 per game plus bonuses that are tied to winning. Salaries can reach up to $100,000 for the 11-week traveling circuit.
At least it's been confirmed August 31, 1980 is when the Big Three were born. In August of 2020, all three of the Pearson kids will turn 40.

Over recent weekends, BIG3 games averaged a 0.5 rating on the CBS broadcast network. That's not great. But close to the 0.7 rating and 1 million viewers it drew for its second championship game in 2018. The deal with CBS is only for the 2019 season.

And in its inaugural season, players in the BIG3 (now in its third year) made a $100,000 salary and took in a percentage of the overall pot determined by ticket sales, sponsorships, etc.
