OWN-BRAND supermarket products that are rated BETTER than top-selling branded items have been named by Good Housekeeping. Testers found that in at least eight cases, cheaper own-brand products from supermarkets including Aldi, Lidl and Tesco are actually better than brands they copy.
While Aldi came in cheaper as the overall supermarket, many shoppers suggest that Lidl is now the favoured discounted supermarket as they offer a better selection of branded items which are still a lot cheaper than other shops.
