TLDR: The difficulty of getting into NUS depends on your level of study, your choice of course, your academic background, and your nationality. And the difficulty might range from as low as 2% to as high as 35% depending on these factors.
If you can afford it or can manage the cost of studying in it , NUS is definitely better, otherwise IIT. PS: NUS is the no. 1 College in Asia according to Qs ranking followed by NTU. And it is easy to get into it esp for an Indian student.
There are different requirements for different high school qualifications presented to the University. For certain high school qualifications, applicants are required to submit either ACT with Writing or SAT, together with SAT Subject Tests scores. NTU admission depends mainly on your academic profile. If you make it through the cut-off point (high if you're an international student), then chances of admission are high. If not, it is close to zero unless you have other exceptional features. For STPM, I think what they are looking for is perfect 4.0 GPA.

Nus' biggest weakness is that it is simply too big and too eager for brand recognition. Too big so they let in rubbish students with poor grades and poor attitudes. Too eager for branding so the drive to publish is too much.
Anyway the reason why NUS and NTU rank so high on QS now, is because they played by the QS methodology to their advantage - therefore there is a huge disparity between their rankings in QS, Times and Shanghai ARWU - which all have different methodologies in ranking individual universities.
Same thing as if you want to work in Asia, choosing NUS is a better choice. Secondly, LSE and UCL has some courses that are superior to NUS in terms of quality and ranking, and similarly NUS has some courses that are superior to the two.

No. Yale-NUS is just a collaboration between the 2 universities where they send students from each university to study and live in each others' places, that's it. They have their own modules to handle in NUS, on top of the NUS curriculum in Singapore. Other than that, that's not much of a difference.
Yale-NUS College is a liberal arts college in Singapore. Established in 2011 as a collaboration between Yale University and the National University of Singapore, it is the first liberal arts college in Singapore and one of the few in Asia.
Yale-NUS is Asia's leading liberal arts college. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you for the global challenges of the 21st century. A strong co-curricular programme ensures you develop the skills necessary to solve complex problems.
COVID-19 and Standardised Testing: Due to limitations on opportunities for ACT and SAT testing as a result of COVID-19, Yale-NUS College has adopted a test-optional policy for applicants applying in the 2020-21 admission cycle only. This means that ACT or SAT scores are not required for applicants.
Based in my time in Singapore, I think we can agree that Yale-NUS is quite prestigious. This is to some extent because it also has the NUS and Yale name behind it–two big names for universities.
To be eligible, applicants must submit an application to NUS Faculty of Law, and the Interest Essay for the Double Degree Programme in Law and Liberal Arts through the Yale-NUS Applicant Status Page. A fresh admission application to Yale-NUS College is not required.
Answer: Yes, in general NUS students read the module towards their Unrestricted Elective requirement and can exercise S/U option for Yale-NUS modules during the S/U declaration exercise, subject to the rules governing their cohort.
You should also have a 4.14 GPA or higher. If your GPA is lower than this, you need to compensate with a higher SAT/ACT score. For a school as selective as Yale, you'll also need to impress them with the rest of your application.
