Two years after a 2018 announcement to transfer two ships to sister company P&O Cruises Australia, Princess Cruises has finalised the move of Golden Princess and Star Princess, which will now debut as Pacific Adventure and Pacific Encounter respectively, with sail dates set for 2021.
In November 2019, P&O Cruises Australia announced the sale of Pacific Aria to Cruise & Maritime Voyages to beginning in May 2021 as Ida Pfeiffer, in honour of the famous Austrian explorer.
Her renaming coincided with
P&O's 75th anniversary in Australia. In 2020,
Pacific Dawn left the
P&O fleet.

P&O Cruises has announced it is selling one of its oldest vessels, Oceana. The Southampton-based company said the ship, which was built 20 years ago, has a buyer and will leave its fleet this month.
Brisbane-based Pacific Dawn was refurbished in March 2017 and is aimed at people who enjoy a fun-filled cruise at an affordable price.

P&O Cruises has expanded the adults-only zone aboard its three ships. The Oasis retreat is now available across two decks on Pacific Pearl, Pacific Dawn and Pacific Jewel. The retreat offers passengers over 18 a place to escape the kids with new pod-style lounges for two, cushioned deck lounges and sun beds.

P&O Cruises and Cunard have paused operations until Spring 2021. Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has announced that its new flagship Amy Johnson (the current Pacific Dawn) is already over 50 percent sold for 2021.
When was Pacific Dawn built?
The seventh ship to join the rapidly-expanding CMV fleet is the 1,450-passenger Amy Johnson, named after the pioneering pilot who flew from Australia to Britain in 1930 at the age of 26. However, the ship itself is not new: when it joins the CMV fleet in Singapore in April 2021 it will be 20 years old.
Cruise & Maritime Voyages (CMV) has gone into administration after failing to find funding. The move would have increased CMV's capacity by 30 per cent. According to chief executive Christian Verhounig, the line had sold nearly 90 per cent of 2020 capacity prior to lockdown, and nearly 50 per cent of 2021 UK capacity.
