Set Chrome as your default web browser

Android phone or tablet running Google Chrome
- Open the Google Chrome Internet browser.
- In the upper-right corner of the screen tap the. icon.
- In the drop-down menu that appears, select history and shown in the image.
- The following page will contain your device's history.
You can go to Settings > Applications > Application manager and navigate to all apps tab then found your browser in this list and tap on it and then you see turn off button, when you disable it using this button, browser should disappear from applications menu.

Get a Chrome update when available

Install Chrome
- On your Android phone or tablet, go to Chrome on Google Play.
- Tap Install.
- Tap Accept.
- To start browsing, go to the Home or All Apps page. Tap the Chrome app .
Samsung Internet only ships as the default browser on Samsung's phones. Other phones use Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and others.
Chrome
- Open the Google Chrome browser.
- Click the Customize and control Google Chrome button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
- From the drop-down menu that appears, select Help, then select About Google Chrome.
- The window that appears will automatically check for updates and show you the current version of Chrome.
Android 4.4 KitKat is no longer supported by Google.
You can manually check for updates: In the Settings app, choose About Tablet or About Device. (On Samsung tablets, look on the General tab in the Settings app.) Choose System Updates or Software Update. When the system is up-to-date, the screen tells you so.
