Disney Cruise Line
The new facility would be located on the south side of the port, to the east of existing Terminal J. It will allow Disney to homeport vessels carrying more than 3,500 passengers.To disembark all passengers from a cruise ship takes a few hours. But if you plan to arrive into Miami then head straight to the airport, you can book shuttle transportation via your cruise line directly. These shuttles are not free, and the price does range per person, per each cruise line.The cheapest times to cruise are typically in the late summer and fall because of hurricane season, but you can often find patches of bargain sailings, especially during the early weeks of December and in the spring.
An Uber/Lyft fare from the Miami airport to the Port of Miami would run approximately $20, compared to $27 flat-rate for a taxi. If flying into Fort Lauderdale, the fare is around $35 to the Miami cruise port, compared to roughly $75 for a taxi.
The main advantage of using Uber or Lyft instead of a taxi or limousine is that it's less expensive. Both companies claim that their transportation service is 40 percent cheaper than a taxi.

Miami International Airport
While checking into your cruise online prior to embarkation, you are asked to select a 30-minute window to check-in, e.g., 10:30-11:00, 11:00-11:30, etc. If you try to check in earlier than your designated time, you will be turned away and asked to wait for your time window.
According to Carnival, passengers who arrive early will be turned away from the terminal if they arrive before their scheduled departure time. They will be asked to return during their specified boarding window.
