Lithium Coin CR2032 has certain achievements for devices where traditional batteries cannot be used. This battery can be used for memory back-up, digital watches, car keys, laser pens, fitness appliances and medical devices such as tensiometers and clinical thermometers.

A: No, the CR2016 is thinner and a bit smaller than the CR2032.
Using CR2016 as a replacement CR2032 battery could be a problem. Same diameter size sure is good, but nominal capacity difference is not something to rely on. CR2016 have less power (nominal capacity) and it is a bit thinner (1.6mm), CR2032 is 3.2mm thick. CR2016 is even thinner than CR2025 and less powerful.
