Marks & Spencer HEATHROW AIRPORT T5 SIMPLY FOOD.
Only our essential retail stores will remain open so you can continue to purchase items, however some stores are offering a pre-pay and collect service. Our Food and beverage outlets also remain open.
You may unload on the terminal forecourt but waiting is not permitted. Police and airport staff patrol the forecourts and will ask waiting vehicles to move on. If you are meeting someone from a flight you must use the Short Stay Car Park.
Bit of advise if you intend to pick someone up from Heathrow Terminal 5. DO NOT follow the "Pick Up" passengers signs as it will take you straight in to a car park with a minimum charge of £2.80. Arrange to pick up from the Departures "Drop Off" area where it's free.
The following shops and restaurants remain open for takeaway:
- Boots.
- Excess Baggage Company.
- Fortnum & Mason.
- SIM Local.
- The Macallan.
- Travelex.
- WHSmith.
- World Duty Free.
Terminal 5 at London Heathrow is the busiest airport terminal in the UK, with over 32 million passengers each year – more than Edinburgh Airport and Birmingham Airport combined. And a number of new measures have been introduced to keep passengers safe.

Check-in times do vary and we always advise to arrive three hours in advance for intercontinental and EL-AL flights, and two hours in advance for European flights.
On arrival at Terminal 3, follow signs for Flight Connections. You will be transferred to Terminal 5 by free shuttle bus; these run every few minutes. As you remain 'airside' you do not need to reclaim and recheck your bags, or go through UK immigration, although there will be a quick security check at Terminal 5.
Only our essential retail stores will remain open so you can continue to purchase items, however some stores are offering a pre-pay and collect service. Our Food and beverage outlets also remain open.
The Departures area is located on the top floor of Terminal 5. You must meet the following times, or you will not be allowed to travel. Check-in closes 60 minutes before long haul flights depart and 45 minutes before short haul flights depart. Pass through security at least 35 minutes before your flight departs.
The London Heathrow Airport is open 24-hours, but depending on your arrival time during the night and your specific terminal, the protocol may vary. For instance, in Terminal 3, it seems that airport security staff will relocate all overnight sleepers to one designated area until around 4:00 AM.

All Burberry shops at Heathrow are airside, so the prices at those shops should be lower than High Street prices.
In fact, you will get 3.20% cheaper than if you buy the item with VAT refund. But if you can't purchase the bag at Heathrow Airport with Duty-free, then basically it's the same as buying at the regular Chanel boutique in London. However, if you want better stock, then you should visit the boutiques in London.
As for that Lady Dior or Gucci horsebit boot you've been eyeing, take a moment before pulling out your credit card. You won't necessarily find designer goods any less expensive at the airport, because luxury brands tend to maintain consistent pricing across locations.
A: This varies according to the store. Unfortunately with Chanel and Louis Vuitton, you can only take advantage of duty free prices when flying internationally but with others such as Burberry, Mulberry and Gucci, you can buy duty free even when flying within the EU. Q: Can I visit the shops upon arrival to Heathrow?
Is duty free actually cheaper? Wisdom is that it's worth doing your research before flying to know whether you might pick up a bargain at the airport or not. In 2016, however, Telegraph Travel conducted its own research and found that prices at duty free were indeed cheaper than the high street.
Located in the United Kingdom, near London, the Heathrow Airport is one of the most popular destinations to shop for designer handbags. Why? Because our favorite brands are located at the tax-free area. So why not shop Chanel, Hermes, Dior, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada at Heathrow airport.
