Mo'Nique won a major victory against Netflix in her lawsuit alleging race and gender discrimination after a federal court ruled Thursday that she "plausibly" alleged the streaming giant illegally retaliated when she rejected a "lowball" offer to do a comedy special.
Wanda Sykes said Netflix offered her less than $250,000, an offer she rejected. Sykes eventually agreed to a special because "they moved that comma," Sykes told Variety earlier this year.
