BY FERRY. The Isle of Sark Shipping Company (+44 (0) 1481 724059) provides the passenger ferry service from Guernsey. This is the easiest way to reach Sark, with several sailings a day between Guernsey and Sark in peak season and a reduced winter service with daily boats Monday to Saturday.

Hello - You could drive round the island in an hour but as you us the word leisurely I would say that to allow either half a day or a full day would be ideal. If you simply want to drive round and stop every now and again to see the view or get a cup of tea from one of the many cafes it's the half day option.
There is no VAT (Value Added Tax) on the island and prices of luxury goods tend to be cheaper than in the UK. Favourite gifts include local pottery, knitted sweaters (particularly the famous Guernsey jumper), crafts, gold and silver jewellery and candles.
Channel Islands makes for a great day trip destination, but it's also possible to camp on the islands if you wish to stay longer. The park itself is open 24 hours a day year round, but weather and environmental conditions vary depending on the season.
Guernsey Shopping and DistrictsThe advantage with shopping here is that Guernsey, as with all of the other Channel Islands, is exempt of VAT. Therefore, many shops and department stores around Guernsey are often cheaper than you would expect, although local taxes are applied, along with some possible shipping charges.
Guernsey and Jersey are part of the CTA or Common Travel Area, which is included in the UK. In both destinations there is no requirement to carry a passport as there are no immigration controls in place, however a form of photographic identification is required.
