Bomaderry offers housing for people on a variety of budgets. Overall, it is a good place to live, but BEWARE of the STINK! The smoke haze has returned to Sydney this morning and air quality is double the levels required to be "hazardous" in the east and "very poor" in the west. After a few days of reprieve, a wind change has blown the smoke back over Sydney from the mammoth fires on the South Coast. The bushfire affected Southern Highlands has reopened for business after bushfires burnt through the region. From south of Warragamba, Picton, and Wingello to the towns of Mittagong, Bowral and Moss Vale, people are being urged to visit.
Come visit another time. Jervis Bay itself doesn't seem to be at risk of being directly hit, but the road could close at any time. It's best to stay away.
“Bushfires have caused very low foot traffic in Berry, severely impacting businesses,” the Empty Esky account posted. “They have taken a massive hit, with a drop in customers since the fires started.” And then there's Merimbula, on the Sapphire Coast of NSW, that Sydneysiders can drive to via Canberra.
