Switch to Single-User Mode:
- Have all users log out of QuickBooks except for you.
- Log in (if you are not already logged in).
- Go to File → Switch to Single-User.

Single User Mode (sometimes known as Maintenance Mode) is a mode in Unix-like operating systems such as Linux operate, where a handful of services are started at system boot for basic functionality to enable a single superuser perform certain critical tasks. It is runlevel 1 under system SysV init, and runlevel1.
As with single user mode, Shirley sets up user accounts for each user who is accessing the company file. But unlike single user mode, in multiuser mode, all four users can log into the company file with those user accounts and work on the company file on different computers at the same time.
27.3.Booting into Single-User Mode
- At the GRUB splash screen at boot time, press any key to enter the GRUB interactive menu.
- Select Red Hat Enterprise Linux with the version of the kernel that you wish to boot and type a to append the line.
- Go to the end of the line and type single as a separate word (press the Spacebar and then type single ).
To enable multi-user mode, go to the File menu in QuickBooks and choose "Multi-User Mode."

To create a new product or service item, navigate to the Sales Tab, go to the Products and Services sub-tab and select “New.” Alternatively, you can select “Add new” from a sales form.
Choose Edit > Preferences. Choose the General icon in the list on the left. Choose the My Preferences tab at the top. Click to clear the Keep QuickBooks running for quick startups checkbox.
Go to your server
