The cost of a first class stamp will rise by 9p to 85p on 1 January, Royal Mail has announced. A second class stamp will also go up in price, rising by 1p to 66p on the same day.

As long as you don't underpay you can combine stamps. Even old 1st class stamps as long as they don't have a value printed on them can be used, they will be treated as paying this year's 1st class price.

The price of posting a letter in Australia is set to rise by ten cents after the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) decided not to object to the increase. Australia Post will now increase the price of mailing a letter from $1 to $1.10 for ordinary letters.

For USPS Marketing Mail, the date of deposit is not required in the meter imprint unless you are using meter tapes. Metered presorted and commercial mail must be brought to the Post Office where you hold your permit. Metered presorted and commercial mail CANNOT be dropped in a collection box or given to a carrier.

Metered mail allows small and medium businesses to use a meter to print postage on mailpieces as proof of payment. How many stamps do I need?
- For a standard letter: If you are mailing a standard letter, one Forever Stamp or one First Class Letter stamp at the top right corner of an envelope can be used.
- For a package: For packages that weigh less than 12 ounces (0.75 pounds), one (or more) postage stamps are accepted.
Additional ounces are much cheaper costing only $0.15 per additional ounce rather than $0.55 for a one ounce letter. If you add two Forever Stamps to a 2 ounce letter, you would be paying for an item that should only cost $0.70.

Poly bubble mailers with extra bubble wrap inside are more secure than the kraft ones. Kraft ones get brittle and tape fails, or they can easily get wet and contents be damaged. And, yes, put it in the mailbox.
Can I use stamps on a bubble envelope? Sure, using postage stamps on a bubble/padded envelope is the same as on a regular envelope. The postage rate has to be met by the sum of all stamps, on any cover. You just might have to put more postage on the bubblicious one, due to the added weight.

So for whatever it costs to ship 2lbs via Priority Mail, you can ship in the Regional Rate A Box for the same rate.
The popular Priority Mail Flat Rate Padded Envelope will cost $7.75 in 2020 compared to $7.55 currently, a $0.20 increase. Rates for the Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate Box will increase 40 cents, to $13.20 from $12.80 currently. Rates for the Large Flat Rate Box will increase 70 cents, to $18.30 from $17.60 currently.
If you use your own envelope or box for Priority Mail, identify it with the marking, "Priority Mail." Priority Mail packaging provided by the USPS must be used only for Priority Mail. Many mailers use a service called "Priority Mail Open and Distribute" to speed up the delivery of their USPS Marketing Mail.
Forever stamps will remain at the same price – 55 cents – but first class mail is set to go up by 1.8%. All other categories of mail will increase by 1.5%. The new rates will “keep the Postal Service competitive while providing the agency with needed revenue,” USPS said in a statement.
