Animal Kingdom Lodge is considered a Disney Deluxe Resort (along with iconic properties such as Disney's Contemporary Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort). This means that your stay probably won't be inexpensive, but the investment in a 24/7 magical Disney Resort experience is worth it.
Jambo House (the original Animal Kingdom Lodge) has both Disney Vacation Club (DVC) rooms and regular guest rooms. Kidani Village has only DVC-type rooms. Each area has its own check-in lobby, but the split Resort shares all other facilities.
All of the Deluxe Resorts offer the club level option: Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Boardwalk Inn, Disney's Contemporary Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney's Polynesian Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Yacht Club Resort.
Both Jambo House and Kidani Village have studios and one-, two-, and three-bedroom villas. At Jambo House, one-bedroom “value†rooms sleep four; standard, savanna, and Club Level rooms sleep five. Having stayed at Kidani Village more than a dozen times, we think it's quiet and relaxed.
The Value Accommodations are 316 square feet. So, the regular rooms have adequate size, and even the smallest DVC option is still larger than a regular hotel room. Kidani Village one-bedrooms are 807 square feet while two-bedrooms are 1,173 square feet.

The concierge level lounge at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge & Villas - Jambo House finally has a reopening date. Walt Disney World has revealed that the club lounge at Jambo House will reopen on August 26, 2021. This comes more than 17 months after the lounge closed due to COVID-19.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge — Jambo House has officially reopened to guests! While the resort had been reopened for Disney Vacation Club Members over at Kidani Village, the rest of the hotel has been closed to general guests for almost a full year and a half.

Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom serves The Grey Stuff as a dessert for their Prix Fixe dinner meal or as a topping on dessert for The Master's Cupcake during Quick Service Dining at lunch. While the exact recipe is a secret, The Grey Stuff is a creamy vanilla topping put on flavored sponge cake.
Disney World is expensive and a stay on Disney's Club Level adds even more to your final bill. Club Level isn't at all necessary for a great family trip to Disney World, but if you have the budget for the splurge and want the best that Disney has to offer, you may want to consider the Club Level.
Yes, you can resort hop. When everything first opened up they really wanted to keep it to only that resort's guests, but now if you are staying anywhere on property you can easily go to other resorts using Disney transportation.
