“We know Ferris is a senior. If you needed any further proof, the original shooting script for the film says both Ferris and Jeanie are 18 years old, although Jeanie is listed as his older sister. So they're twins, but Ferris is still the annoying younger brother.

Almost all the license plates in Ferris Bueller's Day Off were named after other John Hughes movies. Ferris's mom's car says "VCTN," for "National Lampoon's VaCaTioN." His dads reads "MMOM," for "Mr. Mom." And his sisters says "TBC," for "The Breakfast Club." Two points re "must have a front plate in Illinois".

The same year he played Roger Jackson in Class, with his role as Cameron Frye, Ferris Bueller's hypochondriac best friend in John Hughes' Ferris Bueller's Day Off coming three years later
It's surprising that Ferris Bueller's Day Off never got a sequel. The film is beloved, and was a smash success when it was first released in 1986, but talks about a follow-up never turned into anything real in the last 34 years (with the exception of a live-action TV series that got cancelled after one season).
