- 75g Shea butter | produced from the nuts of shea trees.
- 113g Lye crystals.
- 285ml Distilled water.
Try mild soaps such as Cetaphil, Aveeno, Neutrogena, Basis or Dove. Experiment with several brands until you find the right one. For a natural Rx, try aloe or a tepid water-oatmeal mixture on the irritated area. At the end of a long day, nothing beats a soak in a steamy bath for an hour.
Dove's soaps aren't the worst thing you could put on your skin, but they definitely still use potentially harmful ingredients- specifically propelyne glycol, cocamidopropyl, petroleum based colors, and fragrance (which is where many companies hide harmful ingredients so they don't have to be listed on the label).

Try using a gentle, moisturizing beauty bar or body wash to help keep skin healthy. Harsh soaps only effects the skin, so try to opt mild and moisturising soaps, which gives good cleansing effect and removes dirt. You can check the pH value of them to judge wether the soap is gentle or not.
Gearoid. The soap that I've found to be the most long lasting is the L'Occitane shea butter soap, the big 250g (8.8oz) bars last me around 3 months with daily use in the shower. Just 3 fragrances though, milk, lavender and lemon verbena. My favourite soaps these days are the glycerin rich bars from Pacifica.
