Method 1: Via SMS by sending the IMEI number to 8484When you send the message to 8484 you will receive one of the following messages: IMEI is compliant Device IMEI is Valid. Insert SIM and make a call/SMS to anyone on or before 20/10/18 date for auto registration. Device IMEI is non-compliant.

PTA Sets Up Monitoring Cell for SIM Related Complaints:For this purpose a dedicated email address and SMS short-code have been created which are simcomplaints@pta.gov.pk and 8866 respectively. Apart from this, complaints can also be communicated through fixed line number 051-9207059 and fax number 051-2878139.
As per the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), all SIM based devices, including mobile phones, tablets and other devices should be registered, otherwise, they will be disabled. Now you can register yourself without any internet access. Through USSD (SMS in short) by dialling *8484#.
- Sign in and go to your account settings page (or click here: My Account)
- Delete each student by clicking the red. icon next to their name.
- Delete all other family member accounts except yours in your family by clicking the red.
- Finally, delete your own account by clicking the red icon next to your own name. (
You can send us all your possible complaints and observations in one of the following ways:
- Filling up adequate form in Telenor shops/ xpress teams,
- Sending a letter by post to the address,
- Sending an e-mail on the prigovori@telenor.me,
- Sending fax on 069800405 (physical person) or 069800469 (legal person).
Hang up and report it to the Federal Trade Commission at complaints.donotcall.gov or 1-888-382-1222. If you're getting repeated calls from the same number, you might want to ask your service provider to block the number; for calls from different numbers, ask if they offer a service to block unwanted calls.
You should report it to your local police station as soon as you can by calling 101 or going in person. Your network provider will give you your phone's identification number (IMEI), which you should pass on to the police. Make a note of the crime reference number - you'll need it if you want to claim on insurance.
How to file a complaint? If your mobile phone gets stolen or lost, you will first have to file a First Information Report (FIR) with the police and then inform DoT about the incident through a helpline number 14422. After verification, DoT will blacklist the phone, blocking it from further use.
Modern Android phones are encrypted by default, too. Of course, this encryption only helps if you're using a secure PIN or passphrase to protect your device. If you're not using a PIN or you're using something easy to guess—like 1234—a thief can easily get access to your device.
Remotely find, lock, or erase
- Go to android.com/find and sign in to your Google Account. If you have more than one phone, click the lost phone at the top of the screen.
- The lost phone gets a notification.
- On the map, you'll get info about where the phone is.
- Pick what you want to do.
Here we go:
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap the three-dot icon (top-right corner).
- Select “Call Settings.”
- Select “Reject Calls.”
- Tap the “+” button and add the numbers you want to block.
Fill out the request registration form for blocking the IMEI of lost/stolen phone, and attach the required documents. Click here to go to the form. After submitting the form, you will be given a Request ID. The same can be used for checking the status of your request and for unblocking the IMEI in future.
How to Block a Mobile Using IMEI Number?
- First, approach your nearest police station and lodge a complaint about your missing/lost mobile phone.
- Contact your mobile network provider (call the customer care) and ask them to block your mobile number using the IMEI number. (
Simply Google “Find my phone” while signed in to your Google Account and it should start tracking. Alternatively, you can also download the Android Device Manager app from the Play Store on another Android phone and log into your own account to locate it (tracking won't work if location access is off on the device).
Once a non-compliant handset is blocked, it cannot be used in the country again until it is registered with the DIRBS. So, if your phone is blocked, you'll have to pay the requisite taxes to get it unblocked. Enter Handset model & and pre-calculated tax/duty will appear on the screen.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has further extended the deadline for blocking of mobile device IMEIs till 3rd June, 2020 for all GSMA valid IMEIs seen on mobile networks but currently not registered with PTA.

- Click pta. to open Device Registration Portal.
- Sign Up if you don't have an account.
- You need to Select the purpose and User Type(local Pakistani or Foreigner)
To check the status of a mobile device, dial *#06# and SMS each 15 digit IMEI to 8484. Mobile device users are advised to have all IMEIs (dual SIM) of their mobile devices registered with PTA.

How to pay tax for pta mobile registration online?
- once you access PTA main page, on right corner, click online mobile registration.
- You will see a login page, click on sign up, and make your account first. Without signing up you cannot access to login.
- In signup form, you will be given two options.
SMS the IMEI number to 8484 or visit pta. to verify the IMEI number. PTA will send you a reply in 2 minutes to confirm 2 things: Whether the phone is PTA registered or not. Whether there is a complaint registered with PTA against the phone.
