Kentucky Deluxe is a Blended American Whiskey product from Heaven Hill. Like all blended American Whiskeys from this distillery, the spirit is made from 20% straight Bourbon and 80% neutral grain spirits.

It's not a Kentucky Mule. It might as well be called a Moscow Mule. Just like with the Old Fashioned, there's no flavor from the whiskey added to the ginger beer. It barely has its own flavor to begin with and the ginger beer just completely overpowers what little flavor exists.
Being a blended guy, my go-to brand is Kentucky Deluxe. It's very drinkable on the rocks and provides a nice base for any mixed drink calling for whiskey. I like blended whiskeys for that sweeter element to them, and then yes, there's the price.
Great bargain on bad whiskeyTo be fair this whiskey is not completely awful. It's downfall is in its lack of character. There simply isn't enough aroma and flavor to hide the alcohol taste even after drinking a couple ounces. Good for mixed drinks, definitely not one to drink neat.
