Iqama is used to manage foreign hires in KSA. An iqama, or a residence permit issued to expatriates who arrive in Saudi Arabia on an employment visa. Below, you'll learn more about this permit, its background, and the application process.
Documents needed for Iqama
- Your passport (your original and copies)

Check Iqama Red Green Yellow and Platinum Color
- Go to MOL website.
- Enter your Muqeem card or Iqama card number.
- Enter the Image (reCAPTCHA) Code “see the image below”
- Now click the “View” button.
- In the results, you will identify Iqama color, Sponsor or Kafeel, and Company.
Go to Jawazat office of your city with filled form (family iqama form) and above documents. Find the counter where new iqama is issuing (you can ask at reception for counter) collect the token. On your turn, submit all documents, You also need to show your original iqama at counter.
In order to cancel mobile numbers under your Iqama, you must visit any of your nearest mobile service provider offices. You will have to show your Iqama for verification. Once the verification is done, the SIM will be deactivated with no time.

Procedure to Check Exit Re-Entry visa status online without using Absher account :
- Visit Muqeem.Sa.
- Enter your Iqama number or Visa number by selecting the appropriate option for you.
- Choose one of Visa Number, Passport Number, Name, Date of Birth, Iqama Expiry Date or Visa Expiry Date.

Find the Use By/Expiration Date. Look for this on the side of the label or on the carton. The Lot Number is near the Use By/Expiration Date.
To Check how many sims activated on your iqama card, send a message to the following number. If you are a Sawa, STC user, then Send an SMS containing the number 9988 to 900. You will receive a message that will confirm how many sims do you have on a specific network.
Click on “E-Services” from the menu tabs at the top of the MOI's site home page to view the various online services offered by the Ministry. View the online Iqama status service. Select “Passport” from the left menu panel and choose “Query Iqama Expiry Service” from the sub-list. Check your Iqama validity.
MOI TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS / TRAFFIC FINES ON IQAMAYou can access “MOI Traffic Violation” records by logging in to the Ministry of Interior's online portal Absher. You can check your traffic fine (Mukhalfa) amount and other details by visiting the Absher website.
There are two ways to check Iqama Mehna i.e. by looking at the Iqama card and online through Absher. In case you want to check the status of change of Iqama profession, you will have to do it online through Absher. If you are in the process to change the Iqama profession, make sure you select your profession carefully.
Find Kafeel, Institute or Company Red and GreenAll you need is to go to the MOL (Ministry of Labor) official website. Put your Iqama ID number in the box, put CAPTCHA code in the box, and hit enter. For your information, if you are changing the company or Kafeel while they are in the “Red” category.

If your Iqama Expiry Date is March 31, 2020, you will have to pay the dependent fee for 12 Hijri months;
- 3 months @ SR 300/month = SR 900.
- 8 months 20 days @ SR 400/month = SR 3,500.
- Total Dependent Fee: SR 4,400 approx.
- 12 Hijri months = 11 months 20 days gregorian months.
Procedures for a Replacement of Lost IQAMA
- Inform the competent authority or the police passports in places where there is no Passport for the loss of a residence permit.
- A letter from the employer or head of the family's resident director of the Passport Department, explaining the reasons for the loss of residence permit and the place in which I lost.
How to get a final exit without iqama? The simple way is to get your passport and surrender yourself to the police. They will make arrangements to issue a final exit. However, in such a case, you would not be allowed to enter back to Saudi Arabia for 3 years.
You will be required to sign the third set of forms to close the already opened bank account on your old Iqama. After all this, they will ask you to sign another form for ATM card. You can use this ATM card to withdraw money from frozen account on new Iqama.
It is considered a crime to transport a person without Iqama. And without proper Identification, any taxi, car, private and the bus driver will be responsible.
