In-Box Peripherals. Apple includes two human interface peripherals with the iMac -- a keyboard and a mouse. Apple's Wireless Keyboard is small and thin and connects to the computer over radio waves. It doesn't have a 10-key keypad, so heavy spreadsheet users may want to invest in a replacement.

The iMac debuted on August 15, 1998. Later known as the iMac G3 -- the suffix comes from its PowerPC G3 processor -- the first model had the monitor and computer system combined in a single enclosure. Although the debut model does not have Wi-Fi capability, it has an integrated 56k modem for wired networking.
How to Factory Reset a Mac
- Restart Your Mac. First, restart your computer.
- Open in Recovery Mode. Once the computer turns off, hold Command + R until you see the Apple logo show up.
- Erase Your Data. Choose your startup disk, then click Erase at the top of the Disk Utilities window.
- Reinstall MacOS.
- Restore from Backup.

Click the Restart button when the dialog box appears. After the iMac shuts down completely but before it begins to restart, hold down the Command (?) and R keys at the same time. The Mac will display the macOS Utilities menu, from which you can reinstall Mac OS.
3.Use Recovery Mode to reset your password
- Turn off your Mac (choose Apple > Shut Down).
- Press the power button while holding down Command + R.
- When you see the load bar appear you can let go of the keys.
- Select Disk Utility and press Continue.
- Choose Utilities > Terminal.
- Restart the Mac in Recovery Mode (hold down Command and the R key during restart).
- Use Disk Utility to erase the hard drive. Click on Disk Utility > Continue. Select the main volume and click Unmount then Erase).
- Click Reinstall OS X and Continue. Follow the instructions to reinstall Mac OS X.
To load your Mac in Safe Mode, press and hold the Shift key while it boots. You can stop holding the Shift key when you see an Apple logo and progress bar. To leave Safe Mode, just reboot your Mac without holding the Shift key.
