In an attempt to deal with the aftermath of her dark magic binge, Josie is heading to see her mother.
Despite their parents' best efforts, Josie and Lizzie Saltzman found out the truth about the Gemini coven in Legacies' first season. Long story short, the twins discovered that when they turn 22, they will have to partake in the Merge, which is essentially a fight-to-the-death for witches.
Penelope left so that she could put her hacking skills to good use at a Silicon Valley-based private research company fighting against the climate crisis.
Well, in order to become a vampire, all Lizzie had to do was die. And not only that, if she does die and become a vampire from drinking vamp blood, she only has 24 hours to suck some human blood, or die for real.

In the series premiere of Legacies, Hope meets Landon once again when she finds his werewolf foster brother Rafael (Peyton Alex Smith). She manages to get him enrolled in The Salvatore School and helps him find any potential supernatural powers. Over time, the two start dating and fall in love.
In Legacies Season 3 Episode 9, Josie and Ric are taking a walk when they come up on the rebuilt Gilbert house, which Elena burned to the ground in The Vampire Diaries Season 4. Josie reveals she's been staying with Damon and Elena and invites her dad to stay for dinner.
While fans may have predicted Landon would eventually choose Hope, he chooses neither.
Legacies fans — particularly those who sail aboard the good 'ship “Hosie†— gasped in unison last week when Hope casually revealed that she once had a crush on Josie. (Lizzie also shared an extreme reaction, but it was considerably less celebratory.)
Rafael comes to realize that he is romantically attracted towards Hope when he dreams about kissing her. When Hope kisses Landon, he looks away out of jealousy.
Landon broke up with Hope earlier this season on 'Legacies'Knowing she's toxic to Malivore, she believes Landon dissolved into the mud because of her. Later in the season, she's reunited with Landon thanks to Cleo (Omono Okojie).
On January 31, 2019, The CW renewed the series for a second season. The second season premiered on October 10, 2019. On January 7, 2020, the series was renewed for a third season, which premiered on January 21, 2021.
Despite The Originals spinoff series Legacies focusing on the duo's love story for most of its three seasons, the show's season 3 finale has all but confirmed that its heroine Hope and her love interest Landon will never be able to have sex.
Josie and Jade's romance is teased in Season 2 of 'Legacies'. So, after the Phoenix chose the Tribrid, Josie was once again single. But, it's not too surprising that she developed a crush on Jade. Josie's sexuality has been discussed since the beginning of the CW series.
Landon's fate has long been questioned by fans, especially after his near-death experience. Though things did not seem good for Landon, luckily, we saw him awaken at the start of Season 3 after some interference from Raf.
Hope finally woke up at the end of the 'Legacies' season 3 premiere, thanks to a kiss from Landon.
