Yet unlike Whatsapp, true-caller's last seen doesn't actually indicate the last time your contacts have used the app, instead it shows the last time they used their devices.
No true caller is not connected to WhatsApp . Google account keeps our contact details and name and hence when you receive an unknown call they link up between your contacts ( which are synced to google as well truecaller server ) contact users of (true caller) and shows up the unknown callers name .
Update: TrueCaller has confirmed that their website was being hacked. However, it claims that TrueCaller does not store passwords, credit card information, or any other sensitive information. It has denied has that attackers were able to access TrueCaller user's Facebook, Twitter, or any other social media passwords.

How to Deactivate Truecaller Account:
- At first, Open truecaller app from your smartphone.
- Now, Navigate to Settings > About Truecaller.
- Then, Tap on Deactivate Account.
- This time, You will be asked “Do you want to deactivate your account? All the settings and information will be deleted.” Just tap on Yes.

Last seen on true caller means when was the last time that person was in the app. Basically yes it is the last time person was on the call. Truecaller's feature works when the internet is on so even if the person is using their phone and the net is off true caller show the last time they used their app with the net on.

The Ministry of Defence in India has issued a new order to the Indian armed forces asking officers and all security personnel to remove, uninstall over 42 Chinese apps as these have been classified as 'spyware'. The list of 'banned app's also includes Truecaller, which is a Sweden-based app.
The free app, CamScanner, converts images you take with your phone into PDF documents. According to security firm Kaspersky Lab, the app itself is safe; the problem deals with a third-party advertising library on CamScanner that secretly installed malware on victims' phones.
The advisory issued on November 24 notes that TrueCaller is a "spyware" or a "malicious ware" and that it should be immediately deleted from the personal and official phones. Truecaller is not a malware, and all our features are permission based and are disabled by default," a TrueCaller spokesperson said.
