Eurostar trains are an elongated version of the TGV and have a normal operating speed of 300kmph. Eurostar train sets, designated as Class 373 in the UK, are operated by Eurostar UK, while SNCF operates three Eurostar trains in France.
TGV trains have luggage areas available beside entrances from the platforms. Only hand luggage (cases, travel bags, rucksacks), skis, pushchairs, dismantled bikes and water sports boards (both these items must be placed in a carry bag and must be easy to carry and stow in the luggage areas) may be carried.

TGV Est from Paris Gare de l'Est. Connects to the east of France, one of the new regions now called Grand Est, serving destinations like Reims, Metz (visit the great Pompidou Metz Museum), Nancy, Strasbourg, Luxembourg and beyond. TGV Sud-Est from Paris Gare de Lyon. Connects to the south and east of France.
The brand is in the process of replacing 'classic' TGV services until 2020, along with the low-cost Ouigo brand. The name inOui was chosen to emulate the French word inouï meaning extraordinary or unheard of.
Full-fare tickets can be quite expensive. Ticket prices for some trains, including most TGVs, are pricier during peak periods.
However Ouigo trains are single class with more seats per carriage so they carry around 20% more passengers than a standard TGV train. Ouigo trains out of Paris, depart from Marne-la-Vallée (near Disneyland Paris) as well as Massy (in the southwestern suburbs of Paris).
The train is an experimental version of the Traine a Grande Vitesse (TGV), equipped with two supercharged locomotives and extra-large wheels. A Japanese magnetic levitation, or Maglev, train still holds the world train speed record of 581 kph reached in 2003.
The TGVmax pass is offered exclusively to individuals ages 16-27 for 2nd-class travel. You can use your TGVmax pass for travel in France and to Luxembourg on select days aboard select TGV trains (excluding Ouigo).

- Last Minute Access: if you did not have time to exchange your ticket, your reservation allows you to take the previous or following train to the same destination at the last minute, but with no guarantee of a seat. For any discount fare ticket, if you miss your train you forfeit the ticket.
The first TGV Sud-Est cost just $4 million per km, the lowest figure worldwide (Table 1). More recent projects cost about $10 million per km and the newest TGV Méditerranée with seven long viaducts (17.155 km) and one long tunnel (12.768 km) still cost only $15 million per km.
