125 Years on from its creation, the Proms will once again provide a summer of music, fulfilling founder Sir Henry Wood's vision to 'bring the greatest classical music to the widest possible audience'. The current situation with COVID-19 means that the season we had originally planned is sadly no longer possible.
Is BBC Proms 2020 cancelled? Fortunately not. But it will be a very different event to past years, as the BBC's tagline poignantly describes: “Not the Proms as we know them, the Proms as we need them.”
Prom gives teenagers the excuse to exhaust themselves over their appearance. The girls may pay too much mind towards dolling up for the occasion, and the boys might burden themselves when planning out the perfect proposal. This is unnecessary stress that you're putting yourself through.
The Proms are concerts which are part of a big music festival. “Proms” is short for “Promenade Concerts”. The Proms are organized by the BBC, so they are called the “BBC Proms”. They take place in the Royal Albert Hall, in London from mid-July to mid-September every year.
The BBC Proms will return this year, hopefully with a live audience. The internationally renowned classical music festival is scheduled to run from 30 July to 11 September 2021 and will be shown on TV, radio and online.

Genital infections are implicated in significant morbidities among women of reproductive age group especially during the pregnancy period [1]. Inflammatory cells produced by genital infections are implicated in weakening of the fetal membranes among pregnant women thus causing premature rupture of membranes (PROM) [2].
Complications of Preterm PROM
| Complications | Incidence (%) |
|---|
| Respiratory distress syndrome | 35 |
| Cord compression | 32 to 76 |
| Chorioamnionitis | 13 to 60 |
| Abruptio placentae | 4 to 12 |
PROM is often unexpected, and the cause is often hard to identify. Known causes of PROM include: Uterine infection, which is a common trigger of pPROM. Overstretching (distension) of the uterus and amniotic sac. Multiple fetuses or too much amniotic fluid (polyhydramnios) are common causes of distension.
Acronym for passive range of motion; premature rupture of membranes.
Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) refers to a patient who is beyond 37 weeks' gestation and has presented with rupture of membranes (ROM) prior to the onset of labor. Preterm premature rupture of membranes (PPROM) is ROM prior to 37 weeks' gestation.
Resistive Range of Motion
Prelabor rupture of membranes (PROM) is defined as rupture of membranes before the onset of labor. When membrane rupture occurs before labor and before 37 weeks of gestation, it is referred to as preterm PROM (PPROM).
Parallel Advanced Technology Attachment
The full form of PROM is Programmable Read-Only Memory.
Prom attendees may be limited by their schools to be juniors or seniors and guests under age 21. Some high schools allow only the graduating class (seniors) to have a prom. Some schools also allow grade 11 (juniors) to have a prom, and in some cases, there is a combined junior/senior prom.
Yet, proms were not always so lavish, expensive, or widespread. At one point during their history, proms were actually quite simple affairs. Proms were first mentioned in the high school yearbooks of the 1930s and 1940s, but historians believe they may have existed as early as the late 1800s.
PROM TICKETS: The cost of prom tickets can range from $70-$100. The price is usually determined by the chosen venue and the food (when dinner is included).
Patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs) are questionnaires measuring the patients' views of their health status. Patient-reported experience measures (PREMs) are questionnaires measuring the patients' perceptions of their experience whilst receiving care.
