2019: DUKE
Duke won its 21st tournament championship in 2019. Zion Williamson and the Blue Devils defeated Florida State, 73-63. Williamson was named MVP.With Saturday's 80-62 win over Boston College, No. 8 Florida State captured the ACC regular season championship. It's the Seminoles' first regular-season conference championship since 1989, back when they were in the Metro Conference.
Academically, the ACC boasts the most highly ranked schools across the Power 5 conferences, which compete at the top tier of college athletics, with Duke University leading the way for the conference in a tie at No. 10 in the 2020 U.S. News National Universities rankings.

ACC teams will play 29 games against non-conference opponents that participated in bowl games last season, the most of any Power 5 conference. ACC teams will play 19 games against Power 5 competition (including Notre Dame), the most of any Power 5 conference.
South Carolina was intent on leaving the ACC because they felt they were being treated unfairly- primarily by North Carolina schools and the conference office.
The 2020 ACC men's basketball tournament began March 10 and was set to run through March 14 in North Carolina but was canceled over the coronavirus.
All 15 ACC teams participated in the tournament, seeded by their record within the conference, with a tiebreaker system to seed teams with identical conference records.
On September 12, 2012, Notre Dame agreed to join the ACC in all conference sports except football as the conference's first member in the Midwestern United States. As part of the agreement, Notre Dame committed to play five football games each season against ACC schools beginning in 2014.
These factors help make Notre Dame one of the most financially valuable football programs in the country, thus negating the need for Notre Dame to secure revenue by joining a conference. Previously, Notre Dame had filled its annual schedule without needing conference games to do so.

But, here's the thing: Notre Dame is already in a conference. Sort of. Notre Dame began its relationship with the ACC in 2014, when the Fighting Irish joined the conference in all sports except for football, for which it remains independent.
Notre Dame has maintained its independence because of its television contract with NBC, which runs through 2025. NBC reportedly pays the school $15 million annually. The ACC is expected to launch its own network through ESPN in 2019.

The 2019 ACC Baseball Championship, slated for May 21-26 in Durham, North Carolina, will again be televised in its entirety, with games on Tuesday through Saturday on the league's regional sports networks and Sunday's championship on ESPN2.Miami has won 5 NCAA team national championships. see also: ACC NCAA team championships.
The pools are a round robin format, with each team in the tournament guaranteed a minimum of two games. If a pool fails to produce a team with two wins, the top seed automatically advances. The four winners of pool play then advance to a four team, single-elimination bracket to determine the conference champion.
Five teams—Miami, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, and Louisville—have never won an ACC football championship, while two schools that are no longer a member of the league hold championships: Maryland holds nine championships and South Carolina holds one championship.
