Troubleshooting offline printer problems
- Check to make sure the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.

- Set your printer as the default printer.
- Clear the print queue.

- Remove and re-add your printer to your device.
- Restart your PC.
The printer you plugged in to a USB hub on a system with too many peripherals to accommodate a direct connection may refuse to work that way. Shut down the printer and restart to reset on the printer end. If that is not the issue, check the connection at your wireless router and reset the router as well.
You can Change The Status Of A Printer From Offline To Online by simply clicking on the Start menu and then tap on Devices and Printers icon. After that, you need to select your printer and place double-click on it. Now, click on Printer menu bar and uncheck Use Printer Offline.
Your printer might appear offline if it can't communicate with your PC. Your printer's built-in menu should show which network it's connected to, or check your printer's manual for more info. HP Printers - Printer is Offline (Windows)
- Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.
- Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.
- If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.
- If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.
Make sure your Android device is connected to the same wireless network that you want to connect your printer to. Go to 123.hp.com from a browser on your phone or tablet and install the HP Smart app. Turn on the printer. If the printer is in sleep mode, press the Cancel button on the control panel.
You need to ensure your HP printer has enough paper, ink or toner, and it is not stuck on paper jam. Also check the status of your printer cartridge and try replacing it with a new one if it is not good enough. In some cases your HP printer stops printing after you replace its parts.
