The state of Florida hosts 21 military bases, some from every branch of the United States Military. The Pensacola/Jacksonville area is home to most of the military bases in Florida, but they exist in other coastal areas as well.

Easiest Military Branch to Get Into—The Basic Training Stage

Basic Combat Training comes in three phases and lasts about ten weeks, depending on your military occupational specialty (MOS). After you graduate from basic training, you will undergo two additional phases of training, known as Advanced Individual Training, where you will learn the job skills required of your MOS.
The Army conducts Basic Combat Training (BCT) at four locations: Fort Benning, GA, Fort Jackson, SC, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, and Fort Sill, OK.
Fort Myer is home to the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard), The United States Army Band "Pershing's Own" and Headquarters U.S. Army Garrison. The garrison command includes Fort Myer, which is located in Arlington, VA and Fort Lesley J. McNair, which is located in Washington, D.C.

Tampa Recruiting Battalion area of operations is serviced by two Air Force Bases. MacDill and Patrick AFB. MacDill is located in South Tampa and Patrick AFB is located in the East coast in Cocoa Beach.
How large is MacDill? Located on 5,767 acres of land; 906 acres are wetlands. Home for more than 20 protected and endangered species including the American Bald Eagle.
MacDill Air Force Base has over 12,000 active-duty military on base and more than 7,000 civilians. Major units assigned to the base include the 6th Air Mobility Wing and more than 50 other Mission partners. Other units include the United States Central Command and the United States Special Operations Command.
