If you have an Oyster PAYG card you can top it up at our ticket machines at South Western Railway stations within the London Zones. We also accept other forms of contactless payment for journeys within the London Travelcard area, including CPAY contactless bank cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay.
There are regular direct trains to Twickenham station from London Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Reading, Ascot and Windsor & Eton Riverside. Travelling by London Underground is also an option - the nearest stations are Richmond on the District Line and Hounslow East on Piccadilly Line.

This is the London terminus for services towards the south coast and the south-west of England. Waterloo main line station is one of nineteen in the country that are managed by Network Rail and the station complex is in London fare zone 1.

In 2007, the franchise was merged with the Island Line franchise to form a newly extended South Western franchise, which was won by Stagecoach. When next tendered, the franchise was awarded to South Western Railway which took over the franchise on 20 August 2017.

If you travel on a train without a ticket, you'll have to pay the full single fare or full return fare or, if appropriate, a penalty fare for your journey. You might be charged a penalty fare if you: Travel without a valid ticket. Travel in First Class accommodation with a Standard Ticket.
For one, most basic economy passengers are ineligible for any kind of upgrade, anyway; it's a rule that's built into your fare class and ticket. But for any passenger, generally, airlines opt to keep these rows empty—even if it makes virtually zero difference to their bottom line.
But there is no automatic right to occupy first class. Note, though: “If you are given permission to sit in a first-class seat when holding a standard-class ticket, it is on the basis that you may be later required to give up your seat to a passenger holding a valid first-class ticket."
The southern trains form MKC tend to be 377/7 although some services run with older 377's which dont have plugs. The 377/7 have one charger for every pair of seats.
South Central inherited a fleet of Class 205, Class 207, Class 319, Class 421, Class 423, Class 455 and Class 456 multiple-unit trains from Connex South Central. Southern inherited a Class 73 locomotive and Class 460 Juniper trains from Gatwick Express.

What are the times for peak and off-peak travel? The morning peak is generally from when the first train of the day leaves to the last train arriving in London before 10:00am. In the evening it is generally between 16:30 and 19:01 for services leaving London.
