Kurt Cobain mostly played with his left hand. He occasionally played with his right hand and he wrote with his right hand. So, since Cobain was able to use both hands well, our verdict is that he was an ambidextrous left handed guitarist. Here are some photos showing Kurt Cobain writing with his right hand.
Nirvana idol Kurt Cobain mostly played with his left hand — here on an inverted right-handed guitar. Once in a while he would pound Dave Grohl's right-handed drum kit. Cobain was a right-hander — and why he played guitar with the left is a mystery.
You don't even necessarily need a left-handed guitar, as you can flip a right-handed guitar over and use it as a left-handed guitar. Just be aware that some guitars are designed asymmetrically, so if you play it upside down it might feel a little strange.
The Nut Is Back to Front
The nut is designed to snugly accommodate each string, so if the guitar is restrung upside down the strings will be placed in the incorrect slots. To remedy this you will need to either flip around your current nut, or preferably buy a new left handed nut, such as this one.Lean the guitar vertically against the wall, flat so you can see the strings. If the thickest string is on the left as you look at it then it is right handed. If the thickest string is on the right then it is left handed.
For most right-handed folk/pop/rock/blues/jazz guitar players their fretting hand does most of the work, i.e. their left hand. Right-handed players are actually using their 'weak' hand in the most important position. Their 'dominant' hand, the right hand, often does little more than strum.
Which hand you identify as your dominant intuitively is likely to be your overall dominant hand, even if you write with the opposite hand. Look to see if the number of times you used each hand is equivalent or very close in number. If so, you are likely mixed-handed.
When greeting the Queen, address her as “Your Majesty” the first time. If you address her after the first time, call her “Ma'am,” pronounced like “jam.” Address male royalty as "Your Royal Highness” the first time, regardless of their rank or title. Use "Sir" at all times after the first time.
Call princes and princesses by the proper title.
Princes and princesses must be addressed differently. For a prince, say, "His Royal Highness, Prince of (Name of Country). For a princess, say, "Her Royal Highness, Princess of (Name of Country). On presentation to the Queen, the correct address is 'Your Majesty', followed subsequently by 'Ma'am', which should be pronounced with a short 'a', as in 'jam'. The same rules apply for male members of the royal family, with the title 'Your Royal Highness' used in the first instance, followed by 'Sir'.
Emperors, kings, and queens should all be addressed differently.
- When addressing an emperor, you would address him or her as "His or Her Imperial Majesty, Emperor of (Name of Country)."
- When addressing a king, say, "His Majesty, the King." When addressing a queen, say, "Her Majesty, the Queen."
As the Queen was present, all others must bow or curtsy to her. Kate curtsies to the royal princesses by blood, unless the duchess is with her husband, Prince William, in which case the princesses curtsy to her.
Your average Brit calls their parents "mum" and "dad." But like any self-respecting royal, Prince Charles referred to the Queen as "Mummy" during her Diamond Jubilee celebration. The royals only use the term “dinner” to refer to an event with formal invitations.
Choose the proper greeting for emperors, kings, and queens.

One daughter-in-law of Queen Elizabeth II is known to be left-handed and has been photographed numerous times signing with her left hand—Sophie, Countess of Wessex. Born Sophie Rhys Jones, the Countess is the wife of Prince Edward, Queen Elizabeth's youngest child.
Some examples of royal-like courteous behavior include: always use "please" and "thank you," always be punctual, compliment others when something about them strikes you and give praise for the achievements of others, and make an effort to engage in light conversation with those around you.
A handful of studies have found a link between left-handedness and creativity, conferred (some think) by the fact that left-handed folks constantly have to adjust to a right-handed world. According to researchers, very few people are truly entirely left- or right-handed; it's more of a spectrum.
Lefties make up only about 10 percent of the population, but studies find that individuals who are left-handed score higher when it comes to creativity, imagination, daydreaming and intuition. They're also better at rhythm and visualization.

Taylor Swift is my girl, but she's not left handed. Taylor is a righty. I did all sorts of research and she does everything right handed.
You'd be right-handed with either one or two copies of the right hand gene. To be left-handed, both copies would have to be the left hand gene. For example, if both parents are right-handed, there is a 1 in 10 chance of having a left-handed child. The same is true if the dad is left-handed.
The left-handed murderer Albert Henry DeSalvo, known as the Boston Strangler, was believed to be responsible for over 300 rapes and sexual assaults, in addition to his infamous killing spree. Jack the Ripper and Billy the Kid were also reportedly left-handed.
Genetic factors
Handedness displays a complex inheritance pattern. For example, if both parents of a child are left-handed, there is a 26% chance of that child being left-handed. A large study of twins from 25,732 families by Medland et al. (2006) has indicated that the heritability of handedness is roughly 24%.Yes, Tom Cruise is left-handed. Stuttering and dyslexia occur more often in left-handers (particularly if they are forced to change their writing hand as a child, like King of England George VI).
A new study suggests lefties are rare because of the balance between cooperation and competition in human evolution. The findings come thanks to some data from the sports world. Representing only 10 percent of the general human population, left-handers have been viewed with suspicion and persecuted across history.
Handedness. There is a persistent popular belief that Einstein was left-handed, but there is no evidence that he was, and the belief has been called a myth. Einstein wrote with his right hand, and authoritative sources state flatly that he was right-handed.
There have been several theories over the years about why some people favor their left hand. A study published last year found that right- or left-handedness may have nothing to do with the brain — instead, it could be determined by gene activity in the spinal cord while you are in the womb.
Since his birth, William has been second in the line of succession to the British throne. After arriving by aeroplane, William was taken to Llandaff Cathedral where he signed the visitors' book, showing he is left-handed.
