There is no free pick up area available at Manchester Airport, but you can also collect your friends and family from either the dedicated multi-storey at each terminal, or the arrivals car parks.
If you are picking someone up from a domestic flight, you will need to go through the airport security checkpoint before meeting that person at the arrival gate. You will not be able to go into the Customs and Immigration hall if you are picking up a passenger who is arriving from another country.
If you're bringing someone to the airport, follow the signs to the terminal, passenger drop off, ticketing (upper) level in front of the terminal. Look for the blue signs at the terminal indicating where the airline ticket counters are located. Many of the airlines have curbside check-in for passengers' convenience.
Please only arrive two-three hours before your flight. Only passengers travelling should come to the airport, non-flying members of the public are not permitted inside, unless they are escorting a passenger that needs special assistance (further information can be found below).
At the terminal entrance there are a series of drop-off bays where you can unload your passengers and their luggage. Then when you come to exit the drop-off area, you'll reach a boom barrier where your car registration is read again and you'll be presented with your drop-off charge.
The process for picking-up passengers remains the same – passengers can be picked-up in the arrivals car parks and multi-storey car parks with a charge of £6 for 30 minutes. We will have staff on hand to direct those dropping-off and picking-up to the right places.

Arriving early shouldn't be a problem in most cases but bear in mind you may only be permitted to access the car park up to 2 hours earlier than planned. If your early arrival takes you into the previous 24-hour period, you will be charged an extra day's parking.
How long is Short Stay parking? Most Short Stay car parks are available for booking from a few hours up to 16 days, and you'll often find they are very close to the terminal.
You can arrive in the car park up to 6 hours earlier and leave up to 6 hours later without incurring a charge. Please note, if you have booked Security FastTrack, Passport Control FastTrack or a lounge with your car park booking then your original booking time will still apply to those products.

What is Meet and Greet parking at Manchester Airport? They'll drive your car to a secured Manchester car park for the duration of your trip while you make your way to the check-in desk. On your return, a driver will be waiting at the terminal with your car, leaving you free to make your journey home.
Both Terminal 1 MSCP and T3 MSCP will remain open. Terminal 1 is a short walk away from Terminal 3 Multi Storey Car Park.
With Meet and Greet parking, simply Drive to the terminal, meet your driver and your car will be parked for you; and on your return, your car will be dropped back to the terminal. Airport Parking CAN be that easy.
