Here are the best VR headsets money can buy, no matter how much of it you have to spend.
- Best Cheap VR Headset: Oculus Quest 2.
- Best VR Headset for Gaming: Valve Index.
- Best Windows Mixed Reality Headset: HP Reverb G2.
- Best VR Headset for iPhone And Android: Merge VR.
- Best PlayStation VR Headset: PSVR.
Both systems use built-in speakers. The Vive Focus Plus had a streaming system for wirelessly playing PC games on a headset, similar to the Oculus Quest 2's Air Link, and the Vive Focus 3 includes Vive Business Streaming, a cable-based system for connecting it to a PC.
The Vive Pro offers a 110-degree field of view and hardware IPD adjustment. The Valve Index tops the field in most respects. While that resolution matches the Vive Pro's, Valve is using LCD panels that have more subpixels than typical pentile OLED displays, making for clearer imagery.
Unlike Pro 2, Vive Focus 3 will be sold to businesses, though HTC says it will also be available on “some consumer channels” for smaller outlets to purchase. It will cost $1,300/£1,060, which includes a 24 month warranty and services suite.

Enter the Vive Focus 3, a $1,300 standalone headset that's really only meant for businesses. Because it costs $1,000 more than the Oculus Quest 2, the Focus 3 unsurprisingly offers better hardware, ergonomics and build quality than Oculus's headset.
You can now buy the $299 Oculus Quest 2 with 128GB of storage. Following its announcement late last month, Facebook's new 128GB model of the Oculus Quest 2 is now available to buy. You can purchase the VR headset from the company's website for the same $299 price as the previous 64GB base model.
Yes, because without base stations tracking the Vive headset won't work. Even if you are seated, you want to move your head while playing in VR, so you need the base stations.
The SteamVR app on your computer communicates with the base stations through Bluetooth. You just need to connect it to your computer's USB port and plug in its power adapter. If you're using VIVE Pro, you will also need to power on its link box.
***Update Answered***: When the base station is plugged in use a paper clip to press the button inside the tiny holy in the back of the base station. You will hear / feel it click. This increments the channel up by 1 and will allow you to change base station channels without bluetooth being enabled!
both of my valve index base stations need to be updated via steam VR, however I don't have a Bluetooth capable PC.

Answer: No it will not. You will have to buy at least 2 1.0 HTC Vive Base stations or at least 2 2.0 HTC Vive base stations or at least 2 2.0 Valve Index Base Stations for them to even work and track.
No, they are not compatible. SteamVR Base Station 2.0 has a different method of syncing. Use only the same versions of the base stations in your play area so that your setup will work correctly.
From your computer, open the SteamVR app. Click > Devices > Bluetooth Settings > Enable Bluetooth .
Mount the base stations diagonally and above head height, ideally more than 2 m (6 ft 6 in). Secure the base stations in a location where they can't be easily jostled or moved. Each base station has a 120-degree field of view, so it's ideal to adjust its angle between 30 and 45 degrees to fully cover your play area.
Freedom, uninterrupted. The Vive wireless adapter, powered by Intel wigig, offers a near-zero latency wireless VR experience that's fast, responsive, and offers maximum performance. With an easy setup, the Vive wireless adapter can help you get the most out steamvr's room-scale tracking technology.
Verdict. $300 is a lot of money for an accessory, but it's not too surprising since the Vive is an expensive product on its own. However, the wireless adapter is fantastic, once it's up and running. There is a painful setup process, and lingering issues with AMD Ryzen systems.
