Yamoshi was in wrathful state. He was using Broly's Ikari when he turned Super Saiyan for the first time. The legends say that his style of fighting was surprising even to the Saiyans and that this is possibly why the Legendary Super Saiyan was seen as a being that relished violence.
This seems to prove that the version of Legendary Super Saiyan seen in Super is actually far more powerful than a standard Super Saiyan Blue, with only a fused Saiyan warrior able to keep up with Broly in that state.

5 He Could Be Related To VegetaWhile they definitely aren't brothers, there's a very good chance that they were descended from the same family line. This family line might be that of Yamoshi who lived 1000 years before the beginning of Dragon Ball Z.
Due to the resemblance, Bardock mistakes Chilled for Frieza and attacks him but Chilled proves too powerful. However, after Chilled fires an energy attack at Berry, Bardock becomes enraged and transforms into a Super Saiyan.
The first super Saiyan was Goku's father, Bardock. Much before that in the 'Dragon Ball Z: The Father of Goku' movie, he was the first one to transform into Super Saiyan form. In conclusion, Original Super Saiyan was also Yamoshi, later that logically Bardock was the one to achieved SSJ form.
Unlike his son, Bardock was a ruthless villain who, like all Saiyans, had a craving for battle no matter the moral consequences. The attack left him with the ability to foresee the future, and with it, the eventual destruction of Planet Vegeta and the Saiyans at Frieza's hands.
Yamoshi (ヤモシ) was a righteous Saiyan who first attained the Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God transformations.
