You can totally skip it. I think Quantum of Solace is the only Bond movie that isn't 100% standalone.
The only Bond films not on Netflix at the moment are the three most-recent movies starring Craig—Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, and Spectre—as well as Never Say Never Again, the 1983 movie in which Connery returned to the role, and Casino Royale, which is a 1967 spy comedy loosely based on the Ian Fleming novel.
Malek was further announced as playing Safin, the film's villain. Malek revealed in an interview that Safin would not be connected to any religion or ideology. Waltz's casting as Blofeld was not announced at the press launch but was officially revealed in the film's trailer in December 2019.
