Nintendo appears to hate Waluigi. Mario, Luigi, and Wario all have their own games, but Waluigi does not. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate notoriously snubbed our large purple child by making him an assist trophy instead of a playable character.
Disney only co-owns Sora and Kingdom Hearts. They are a 50-50 split between Disney and Square Enix.
In Super Smash Bros. While Geno does not appear in Brawl, Sakurai considered him for potential inclusion as a fighter since he knew about the character's popularity and felt he could easily fit in the game. However, this consideration fell through, presumably due to him being owned by Square Enix rather than Nintendo.
Sora from the Kingdom Hearts series is one of the characters some fans want to see most join the Super Smash Bros. “They absolutely approached Disney about [getting Sora as a Smash Bros. character] once,” Khan said, before confirming Disney were the ones preventing it from happening. “Yes, Disney Japan specifically.”
In the buildup to Smash 4's release, Sakurai went so far as to openly taunt fans. “Just because you try hard doesn't mean you'll make it into the battle,” he said of the character in a Nintendo Direct. The refusal to include Waluigi reminds fans that, at the end of the day, Sakurai is in control.
For other uses, see Crash Bandicoot. Crash Bandicoot (????????????, Kurasshubandikūto) is a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch. He is one of the "Sony" representatives added to the game, other than Ratchet & Clank, and Spyro.
Creator Confirms That Goku Won't Be Joining The Series. One of the most popular fan requests for a character addition to the Super Smash Bros. series is Goku from the Dragon Ball franchise, but he likely will never make it into the game as long as Masahiro Sakurai is in charge.
Sephiroth joins Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as DLC this month as the third of six fighters included in Fighters Pass Vol.

Elite smash goes away once you have no characters in it anymore. If you only have one and lose a few times then elite smash goes away. There is a chance to fall out of it, but that's only if you're still near the border.
To begin, each of the game's fighters has a GSP that changes based on a player's online performance with that character. The GSP increases when a match is won, and decreases when it is lost. This is due to the game only having a small number of match results to use when determining that new player's rating.
Win Online MatchesIn order for you to improve your GSP, you need to win matches in online mode. Winning matches will instantly raise your GSP, while losing will lower it.
In the Nintendo 3DS version of this game, the highest possible Global Smash Power record as of July 2016 is 4,203,100.
It may seem like a bit of an elusive thing to grasp, but once you break it down, you'll quickly realize that the title of Elite Smash player isn't all that exclusive. The barrier to entry seems to hover around 5.6 million GSP, which isn't always that hard to achieve.
As long as the GSP gods don't curse a character it should be fairly reasonable to get into elite. There's a huge boost the first time you play a character, 2-5 wins in a row can easily get you into elite right away for example. If you happen to lose a few times during a bad streak it'll be stupidly hard to overcome it.
Roster GSP IS NOT your average GSP.This is also why simply playing more chars (ie playing previously unplayed chars) will have a large jump to your roster GSP, since an unplayed chars rating is "zero" for roster GSP aggregation purposes.
If you're new to Smash/the Brawl-style games and playing casually, anything 2mil+ is good. Elite is great so long as you aren't cheesing with rulesets etc. If you're putting in several hours of practice a day, labbing, etc or if you have lots of Smash 4 experience, you should be solidly in Elite and aiming for more.
