A lot of speculation surrounds MW2 Remastered being released this year with Modern Warfare 2019. However, it has been delayed as a result of COD 2020 not being ready and will be the game for next year. MW2 Remastered is apparently ready to go with a campaign and multiplayer.
Activision used Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered as a pack-in incentive for 2016's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (much to the displeasure of some fans). The next year, it launched as a standalone release on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. And for March, it's available to PlayStation Plus subscribers.
Infinity Ward intends to make another Modern Warfare, DLC will continue the story. The Call of Duty series has never been one to rest on its laurels for too long. Given that the ending of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sets up a sequel, a Modern Warfare 2 seems all but guaranteed.

Call of Duty 4 takes place in 2011 and in the beginning of MW2 it says "5 Years Later." MW2 and MW3 both take place in 2016.Activision will reportedly release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered in 2020. That's according to credited Call of Duty leaker Okami, who claimed on Twitter that an updated version of Infinity Ward's game will launch this year and that contrary to previous reports, it will include multiplayer.
Modern Warfare 2 on PS4. We as a community have waited so long to hear the blessed “Modern Warfare 2 is Playable on PS4/Xbox.” And now half of that group has been blessed. It's time Sony realizes that backwards compatibility is something they should do. Not just for MW2.

Speaking to IGN, Activision confirmed that Warzone won't require a subscription to PlayStation Plus to play. Unfortunately, the game does require an Xbox Live Gold subscription if you're playing on Xbox One. The game will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net.
