This is generally fine on the whole, and can be done with a Pro Controller or Joy-Con pair as you'd expect, but all other controllers that don't have any motion gubbins inside them are no use. It's a bit clumsy, but it's not used too often, so it's not the end of the world.

The Special Episode is a purchasable DLC episode for the Nintendo Switch version of Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. It was released on March 14, 2019. This episode includes five new courses and 13 new challenges in existing courses.
Considering each level is fairly short, you can expect Captain Toad to take you anywhere from 8-10 hours, depending on how quickly you play.

The game features a two-player multiplayer mode, where each player maneuvers their own Yoshi through the game's levels.
In Captain Toad, players collect items while making their way through over 70 puzzle-filled levels. To play Toadette, players must first unlock her; while the game begins with both characters, Toadette is whisked away along with the power star and must be saved. The first player throws two toads, the second three toads and thereafter, four toads are thrown each turn. 1 point is scored for each toad lying completely flat on the surface of the table and 2 points for each toad in the hole. Any toad which hits the back board or falls to the floor does not score.

To unlock all four Super Mario Odyssey levels in Captain Toad Switch, you must beat all three main Episodes in the game, though a 100% isn't required. Once that's done you'll see them opened up in the level selection 'book.

While there's been no official confirmation of a sequel to Super Mario Odyssey just yet, Nintendo working on a follow-up entry for their biggest franchise is practically guaranteed.
Yes, absolutely. Even younger kids can enjoy Captain Toad sitting next to you on the couch, rather than you intervening and solving puzzles for them. There's very little in terms of reading, so kids of all ages should be able to pick up and play in docked mode easily.
