Standardized test scores (SAT or ACT) will now be optional for students to submit when applying to Bucknell University starting with the class applying for enrollment in fall 2020. "The principle point for going test optional was to provide greater access to Bucknell," said Kevin Mathes, dean of admissions.

Size: How Big Is the School? Bucknell, with an enrollment of 3,600, offers the high-tech resources and research opportunities found at much larger schools but with the small class sizes (20 students on average) and personalized attention found at smaller schools.
The 25th percentile New SAT score is 1250, and the 75th percentile SAT score is 1420. In other words, a 1250 places you below average, while a 1420 will move you up to above average. There's no absolute SAT requirement at Bucknell, but they really want to see at least a 1250 to have a chance at being considered.
Bucknell is known for its affluent, conservative student body. Many students come from an upper-class background, and many are politically conservative (strangely, though, they're more apathetic than politically active). Students largely seem to be concerned with future salaries, though.

All the students are incredibly balanced individuals. high quality educaiton, small atmosphere that emphasized relationships. Small class room sizes allow for one-on-one interactions with professors. Relationships with the faculty and staff generally go beyond professional, and very much so into a personal contact.
IUP has a reputation for being a big party school with people who go out every night of the week. The stereotype of the IUP Honors College is a bit different. The Honors College is known for housing quirky students who often do not party, stay in the dorm, and like art, theatre and sarcastic humor.
