The grips, face buttons, and touch pad are all a pure white, while the shoulder buttons and the lower middle of the pad are black. The DualSense controller is also a little bigger than we're used to, resembling the design employed by the Xbox Series X controller.
The new PlayStation 5 DualSense controller is a bit bigger than the PS4's DualShock, having more heft and overall volume. The PS5's new DualSense controller is somewhat chonky and outsizes the PS4's DualShock 4 in new side-by-side comparisons.
Sony's confirmed that you won't be able to use a PS4 controller to play PS5 games, but it makes sense for the PlayStation 5 to support the DualShock 4 when playing games that are backwards compatible with the PlayStation 4.

All SCUF controllers will work with supported PS4 games only on Sony's new console, the PlayStation 5; however, they will not be compatible with PS5 games on the PS5.
PS5 is not backwards compatible with PS3 games, although it is backwards compatible with PS4 games, meaning some remasters are playable on PlayStation 5. It's worth noting that PS3 Blu-ray discs and PS3 PS Store purchases will not be compatible with the PS5, however.
With that in mind, the PlayStation 6's release date is likely to be some time around 2026-2027, and since these consoles usually like to take advantage of the Christmas cash boom, we're probably looking at November 2027 as a tentative release spot for the PS6.
