The Wire was based on the lives of real gangsters. The Avon Barksdale Story is the first to chronicle the actual lives of these real people. Barksdale's real name, Nathan Avon Barksdale, and his nickname, “Bodie,” were both used in the series as composite characters. Barksdale was a real crime figure in Baltimore.
To stop this daily assault, Bubbles concocts a "hot shot" of heroin and sodium cyanide that he supposes the vagrant will steal from him and then consume. However, Sherrod uses the tainted drugs while Bubbles sleeps and Bubbles awakes to find that Sherrod has died.
But speculation regarding what actually happened on that night in January remains high, and thanks to a lawsuit from the city of Chicago to recover costs, Smollett's legal troubles continue. So despite support from some of the show's cast, Fox ultimately decided to write him out of Empire's sixth and final season.

In an effort to avoid a war with Mouzone and his New York associates, Avon reluctantly tells him Stringer's whereabouts. The next day, Omar and Mouzone track Stringer to his development site, kill his bodyguard, and, after a tense confrontation, kill him.
Omar died because we wanted him to live. The Wire is not sentimental. I always felt Omar knew he was going to die once he jumped off that balcony. Breaking his leg was his last bridge to the happiness that left him once he knew he had to avenge Butchie's murder.
A recurring theme throughout the series is that most of the main cast are never addressed by their full names. In Bubbles' case, it seems that his legal name is just Bubbles. In the episode "Conky," after Julian and Ricky take Bubbles to the hospital, Julian says to a nurse that his name is just Bubbles.
The shocking end of an era for fans of "The Wire" rolled out Sunday night on HBO when Omar Little was shot in the head. HBO offers an On Demand service through which die-hard "Wire" watchers can see every episode a week in advance of its actual airing. So two weeks ago, word of the death of Omar — played by Michael K.
Though Kima Greggs does get shot in that episode, as written, she survives. And those characters who weren't killed off often disappeared for entire episodes, or even seasons when the show moved locations.
After Poot realizes he cannot convince him otherwise, he retreats. Shortly after Poot's departure, while Bodie is still focused on Chris and Snoop, O-Dog emerges from a doorway behind Bodie and shoots him twice in the head, killing him.
The next day, Omar and Mouzone track Stringer to his development site, kill his bodyguard, and, after a tense confrontation, kill him. Avon is arrested soon afterward. With Stringer dead and Avon imprisoned, the Barksdale Organization crumbles.
Season 3: "All Due Respect" and "Dead Soldiers". Tosha Mitchell and Kimmy were lovers and associates in robbing drug dealers. Omar Little returned to Baltimore and persuaded them both to join his crew. Tosha was accidentally killed by Omar's boyfriend Dante, during a shoot-out following a heist.
