Distinguished Member. Whipsnade is more of a wildlife park / safari. London is a zoo. Both large, and you can take your car into Whipsnade and drive round.
Assistance dogs are not currently permitted inside ZSL Whipsnade Zoo because we have free-roaming animals such as mara, wallabies, Chinese water deer and muntjac around our Zoo. We are working with Guide Dogs UK to resolve this and hope to be able to welcome dogs to certain areas of the Zoo in the future.
London Zoo ticket pricesTickets to the London Zoo can be purchased both online as well as at the attraction's gate. While buying online tickets, you can book them in advance or buy same-day tickets. I suggest you park in the free car park just outside the zoo, and walk around the zoo. It's just a waste of money driving in, when you can see all the animals by walking. over a year ago. All animals are locked in their areas.
Woburn has great playing options too, their monkey trail, and soft play area are very nice. Animalwise Whipsnade is perhaps more impressive, and I really love the set up. Both are wonderful but the safari is really special, if the animals are a bit active. Another vote for Longleat.
The Great Whipsnade Railway is currently closed for the time being. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Take a ride on one of our two impressive steam engines, Excelsior and Superior, as they weave their way through the territories of some of the world's most inspiring animals.
