It is not possible to drive a car or motorcycle through the Channel Tunnel. Instead, motorists must drive onto the Eurotunnel Le Shuttle train, which boards at the Channel Tunnel terminals in Folkestone and Calais.
The average train ticket price from London to Paris usually costs around $162.83 two weeks before travel, but can start from as little as $57.62 when you book in advance. Prices also vary depending on the time of day, route and class you book.
The quickest way to cross the channel is using Eurotunnel, which takes around 35 minutes compared to the 90-minute crossing of the quickest cross-Channel ferry from Dover to Calais.
