How to Analyze Data in Excel: Analyzing Data Sets with Excel
- Select the cells that contain the data you want to analyze.
- Click the Quick Analysis button image button that appears to the bottom right of your selected data (or press CRTL + Q).

To create a column chart, follow these steps:
- Enter data in a spreadsheet.
- Select the data.
- Depending on the Excel version you're using, select one of the following options: Excel 2016: Click Insert > Insert Column or Bar Chart icon, and select a column chart option of your choice.
Edit data included in a chart
- Click the chart.
- On the Charts tab, under Data, click the arrow next to Edit, and then click Edit Data in Excel.
- To change the number of rows and columns that are included in the chart, rest the pointer on the lower-right corner of the selected data, and then drag to select additional data.

We know that the general equation for a circle is ( x - h )^2 + ( y - k )^2 = r^2, where ( h, k ) is the center and r is the radius.
Draw Mohr's Circle using Excel Scatter chart
- Select this table and insert the scattered graph (Insert →Scatter→Scatter with Straight lines and Markers)
- Plot the circle around the diameter created.
- Calculate Radius of the Mohr circle in any cell with the formula.

A black circle appears under the cursor – that's a tap handle to make it easier to choose the cursor with your finger. Double-tap and the entire word is selected (just like a double-mouse click will).
The first graph is a circle, the second is an ellipse, the third is two straight lines, and the fourth is a hyperbola. In each example, there are values of x for which there are two values of y. So these are not graphs of functions.
Solution Using DRAW:
- Press ZOOM#4 (ZDecimal) to go to a graphing screen.
- To graph the circle, press 2nd PRGM (DRAW) #9 Circle.
- Move the cursor to the "h" value of +2 by using the arrows.
- Move the cursor to the "k" value of +1 by using the arrows.
- Press ENTER to set the point for the center of the circle.
The Right Way to Create an Excel Rolling Chart
- Specify a Dynamic Named Range.
- Assign Chart Data Source to Dynamic Named Range.
- Now your chart will only show the last 12 rows of data.
- When you update your data by adding more rows, the chart will automatically show the new last 12 rows of data, creating a rolling chart effect.
In the chart, right-click the category axis, and then click Format Axis. In the Format Axis dialog box, select Axis Options on the left. Under Axis Type, make sure Date axis is selected. Next to Base Unit, select Fixed, and then in the list, select Days, Months, or Years.
Comparison Chart in Excel

- Step 1: Select Insert tab through the Excel ribbon and then navigate to the Charts section.
- Step 2: Select the graph by clicking on it and navigate to the Design tab, click on Select Data option under the Data section.
Click the "Insert" tab at the top of the program's window, and click on the "Column," "Line" or "Bar" button, depending on what kind of chart you want to make. Select the chart that you want from the list that appears and your completed chart showing year-over-year changes will appear on the spreadsheet.
How to Put Two Sets of Data on One Graph in Excel
- Click and drag on the worksheet data that you want to chart.
- Click the “Insert” tab on the command ribbon, then click the tiny arrow button in the lower-right corner of the Charts group to open the Insert Chart dialog box.
- Click a chart type in the sidebar to preview your data series converted to that chart type.
