Snails seem to prefer other types of calcium sources to egg shells, but giving them powdered egg shells is way better than no calcium at all. I have several mystery snails, as well as Nerites and MTS snails. Usually one slice about 3 inches will be done in about 3 days. You can also try other veggies such as carrots, broccoli, cucumbers, pumpkin/squash. Fresh veggies also supply calcium which is essential for their shell growth and prevents deterioration.
