How to send an email to undisclosed recipients using Gmail
- Start a new message -> click “compose“.
- Type Undisclosed recipients in the To field < followed by your Gmail address and a closing >.
- Click the BCC field.
- Type the email addresses of all intended recipients in the Bcc field.
Nope! BCC stands for Blind Carbon Copy. Recipients will see who sent the email and that they've been BCC'd but will not see who else, including any CC'd recipients received the same email. When you place email addresses in the BCC: field of a message, those addresses are invisibleto the recipients of the email.
Click the "Select All" link to select all contacts in the address book, and click the "Select" button to insert them in the recipients box. Click the "Send" button to forward the email to all contacts in the address book.
When an email is sent to multiple people, the phrase "undisclosed recipients" means that the email addresses of the recipients have been hidden. If an email is not sent to undisclosed recipients, then all of the email addresses of the recipients are visible.
1 – Open a new blank email and fill out the subject line and message body. 2 – Place your own email address in the To: field. 3 – Place all of your recipients' email addresses in the BCC: field. Be sure to separate the email addresses with semi-colons.
Select "Email Messages" in the drop-down menu. Click on “Select Recipients” in the “Start Mail Merge” group. Find the Excel spreadsheet you created, click "Open" and click "OK." Select fields from the “Write & Insert Fields” group on the "Mailings" tab of the ribbon. Click "Greeting Line" to enter a salutation.
Bcc stands for blind carbon copy which is similar to that of Cc except that the Email address of the recipients specified in this field do not appear in the received message header and the recipients in the To or Cc fields will not know that a copy sent to these address.
