Click on “Start a Video Hangout” at the bottom of that column, and invite your contact via his or her Google account. Once the other person has joined the hangout, he or she can start the screen sharing session by clicking on the Screenshare icon (a green screen with an arrow on it) in the left-hand column.
If so, does it work to:
- Join the meeting.
- Click the Present button at the bottom of the meeting window.
- Select Share Window.
- Resize the window you are sharing from and the window with the meeting so that you can see both.
Present during a meeting
- Join a video meeting.
- In the bottom-right corner, select Present now.
- Select Your entire screen, A window, or Chrome tab. If you present a Chrome tab, it shares that tab's audio by default.
- Select Share.
For the most part, you'll need a Google account if you want to create Hangouts or generally use the platform. Those who don't have a Google account can still participate in a Hangout if a participant in the meeting has a G Suite account and gives approval to the external guests.
How to Add Google hangouts as a desktop messenger.
- Open Chrome.
- Select More Tools > Extensions.

Sharing your screen
- Tap Share in the meeting controls.
- Tap Screen.
- Tap Start Now.
- The screen share will start and Zoom will continue to run in the background.
- At the bottom of your screen, tap Annotate to open the annotation tools or tap Stop Share to stop sharing and go back to meeting controls.

If you stop seeing the message that the TV does not see a signal, but you do not see anything on the TV, then you may need to access your display settings on your Chromebook to ensure it is properly mirroring with the display. Make whatever adjustments you need, then plug the HDMI cable back into the Chromebook.
How to go split-screen on a Chromebook
- Open your first app and click the window size reducer button in the top-right corner of the window.
- Drag the window to either side of the screen — you'll see a vertical line pop-up in the center of the screen, at which point you should release the window so it can automatically fit into that half of the screen.
