Press and hold the Power button, then press the Volume Up button while still holding the Power button. Using the Volume buttons highlight Wipe data/factory reset. Press the Power button to select the option. Confirm by selecting Yes and let the phone do its thing.
Turn off the phone and then press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key simultaneously until the Android system recover screen appears. Use the Volume Down key to highlight the “wipe data/factory reset” option and then use the Power button to make the selection.
Perform a Hard Restart (or Hard Reboot)It's like holding the power button down on your computer. To give this a go, press and hold the power button for at least 20 seconds. If Android isn't responding, this will (usually) force your device to reboot manually.
Some operating systems "reboot" by an ACPI command, which "restarts" the computer. Restart is vague, and can mean the same as reboot, or a reload of the current operating system (without the boot loader), or even just restarting the user mode part of the operating system, leaving the kernel mode memory intact.
The factory reset function of Android smartphones is supposed to delete all apps, files, and settings from the device and restore it to an out-of-the-box state. The process, however, is flawed and leaves a door to recover data. This reset of the system overrides all old data.
Part 1: Bypass Samsung J7 Google account using OTG
- To start with, connect your phone to an OTG cable.
- As your phone will detect the USB drive, go to its File Manager.
- Open the folder and browse the APK file to bypass Google verification on the drive.
- Tap it and install it on your device.
Press and hold the power button, then press and release the volume up button. Now you should see “Android Recovery” written on the top together with some options. By pressing the volume down button, go down the options until “Wipe data/factory reset” is selected. Press the power button to select this option.
To find this feature, first enter an incorrect pattern or PIN five times at the lock screen. You'll see a “Forgot pattern,” “forgot PIN,” or “forgot password” button appear. Tap it. You'll be prompted to enter the username and password of the Google account associated with your Android device.
Method 2.Use Android Device Manager to Bypass Samsung Password
- Visit android/devicemanager on other smartphones or PC.
- Log into your Google account that you used on your locked device.
- Choose the device you want to unlock in the ADM interface.
- Click on the "Lock" option.
- Enter a password.
How to turn ON Galaxy J7 without using the power button: Press and hold the volume button on the side of the phone. While holding the volume button, connect the Galaxy J7 to a computer via a USB cable. Wait for your phone to boot into Debug/Download mode.
Press and hold the Power button for approximately 10 seconds or until the device power cycles. If the device doesn't power on or is unresponsive, attempt the following: Press and hold the Power button and Volume button for 30 seconds. Plug the device into a manufacturer-approved wall charger and wait 1 hour.
Here's how you do it:
- Turn the device off.
- Press and hold the Power key past the model name screen.
- When “SAMSUNG” appears on the screen, release the Power key.
- Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume down key.
- Continue to hold the Volume down key until the device finishes restarting.
Press and hold the Volume Up button and then press and hold the Home key. While holding both, press and hold the Power key. When the Android logo appears on the screen, release all three keys.
Troubleshooting Galaxy J7 that's not charging
- Step 1: Verify it's not just a system crash issue.
- Step 2: Plug in the phone to a computer or laptop.
- Step 3: Check the USB cable or try a different one.
- Step 4: Check your phone's charging port.

Charge your phone or Android Tablet for a few minutesYour phone could turn on in a few minutes and it could start working just fine. If the problem was caused by a dead battery, it should start normally. If this still fails, try plugging the device with a different cable and charger.

If the device is frozen and unresponsive, you may need to close apps or turn off the device, follow by turning on again. To restart device, press and hold the Power key and the Volume down key simultaneously for more than 7 seconds to restart it.
Chances are that there would be a problem related to your phone's cache memory as well. A limited cache storage can also cause the Samsung J7 screen flickering. If your phone is still malfunctioning after restarting, then clear its cache. Go to your phone's Settings > Storage and tap on the option of Clear Cache.
