Update Dashlane and Check Your SettingsClick the extension icon and go to More. Switch on the Allow in Incognito option if you want to use Dashlane while browsing the web in private mode. If you're on Android, go to Settings, select General and make sure the Autofill option is enabled.
Open your Dashlane application and select Passwords from the left-hand menu. Click Add new or tap + if you're using the mobile app. Fill in the blanks for your credential. You'll want to include the Website, Login and Password fields as these are necessary to sign into an account.
Open your Dashlane app, go to the Settings, then General, and under the "Autofill" section, tap on Autofill. You will then be redirected to the system settings of your device to select your Autofill service, enable Dashlane from that list.

If Dashlane does not seem to work at all in Safari despite working in another browser, or if Dashlane stopped working completely, you may need to check your extensions to make sure Dashlane is properly installed. Turn the extension off and on again by un-ticking and re-ticking the box in the left-hand list.
Dashlane is currently compatible with the release versions of the following browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari, Internet Explorer and any other browser based on Chromium such as Opera and Brave.
Go into your iOS device's Settings, select Passwords & Accounts, then select AutoFill Passwords. Once inside AutoFill Passwords, you will see the Keychain and Dashlane proposed for auto-filling. Select Dashlane.
Today, we're sharing an update that we plan to discontinue support for the Mac and Windows apps. This change will happen no sooner than June 2021, and in the meantime, you can continue to use the desktop apps; however, we'll no longer be updating their design, features, or functionality.

On Android
- Locate the Dashlane app icon.
- Hold your finger on the icon until it becomes bigger.
- Move it to the Uninstall field at the top right of the screen.
The quick answer is YES, Dashlane is safe. Security features include 2-Factor Authentication, military-grade 256-bit AES encryption and zero-knowledge protocol to name a few. All your data is encrypted using your master password as a key and stored securely on your device.
Simply navigate to a website, and click in the new password field when you register or update your password.
- Then you can directly click the button Use password to generate a new strong, randomly-generated password.
- Do not forget to save the new password into Dashlane!
To check that your extension is properly working, please visit Outlook.com or Gmail.com. You should see two impalas in the login form. If you do not see anything in the fields, please check that your Dashlane icon is "ON" and refresh the page.
If you are using Dashlane on Android, go to the app Settings, then to General and tap on Sync account.
